Prices at the grocery store are
growing by leaps and bounds
lately. Here in Los Angeles, the
average price for one gallon of
milk is just about $4.00 per
gallon! And with gas prices
continuing to rise the other
groceries we buy everyday are
going up too it seems. The
question is, "How can we beat
the rising costs?" Well, I have
discovered lately that if you
know what you're going to buy
ahead of time, why not do a
Google search? That's right, do
a search (Google, Yahoo, etc.)
for the grocery items you know
you're going to buy. The ones
that you always buy.
For
example, I know ahead of time
that I'll buy the soy milk by
Silk. And that is even more
expensive than regular milk. So,
the other night I went and put
in a search for "Silk milk
coupon" and what do you think
came up? That's right, Silk is
currently offering a coupon for
$2.25 off a half a gallon or
more! Not bad! When I got to the
store it was also on sale so I
ended up getting two half
gallons for about $3.74, the
price of a gallon of regular
milk but more importantly almost
HALF the price I'd normally pay
if I'd paid regular price, not
on sale and no coupon. Next up
on the list I looked up "Sara
Lee bread coupons". There it
was, .75 cents off. And then
Softsoap, $1.00 off! And so on,
you get the idea. There's no
more waiting for the Sunday
paper and getting coupons that
often get you to buy items that
weren't on your list. With
today's modern technology you
can buy the items you want with
a coupon you've printed freshly
from your computer almost every
time.
