1907 or 2007? Will the world as we know it ever grow up...I mean,
become equal?

With only two and a half months left till the end of 2007 I sit here
looking for new content for MyCreditFriend's new section, "NewsFriend".
And there it is...Dear Abby's own Jeanne Phillips fresh off the
Associated Press. She's supporting gay and lesbian marriage.
Now I think to myself, are gay rights really something our country is still
fighting for? The last time I noticed, there were no black people on
the back of the bus, (unless of course they chose to sit there
themselves), there were women working as CEO's in America's top
"Fortune 500" companies and even dog's were legally inheriting millions from
their deceased hotel owner's fortunes. Why is it then that there's
still resistance from the rest of the country to allow men and woman
to commit their lives to whomever they wish?
Why does it matter to you or I who
our neighbors are sleeping with? Is it because we're so
afraid of our own sexuality? After hundreds of years we still
can't quite bare to see others be happy and just be themselves? The question of the
century? Perhaps.
After watching "Dear Abby's" interview, I can't help but think
that maybe
she should run for president. We certainly could use someone
in office who's got their priorities straight. Well, you know what I
mean...
